Tourenbeschreibung
Another early tour. Starting from Ljubelj/Loiblpass a few minutes after four oclock in the morning. Temperature just below zero and still enough snow to start on skis from the parking place. Over Zelenica and under ridge Na Mozeh/Bei Mannern to krnica Suno Rušje. Palec and Zelenjak were in front of me when I turned left to Y line in Osten Wand of Vrtaca. Couloir has about 200 hm, depending where you start measuring it. And it is steeper than Jalovcev ozebnik or Peto zrelo in Storzic. I was too early for a good skiing down. Should be an hour or two latter to frozen snow ergab. But I had to go at my job and I went down. A short steep part in the middle I was not skiing but abbruchen (?) / side sliding. Also the easy down under was not so easy. During the day the snow became soft and skiers left deep spuren in it. Then it got frozen and It was a real rodeo on Arsch schnee. Close to Ljubelj I meet only a few ski tourers. But several couples went climbing one of many winter lines in Begunjska Vrtaca or Begunjscica. Early morning frozen snow was perfect for them.
I was at work at eight in the morning.
